Work Experience Required

To fully become an Accounting Technician, the National Institute of Accounting Technicians requires the students who have passed the CAT Program to acquire at least one (1) year relevant experience after passing the exams. However, this will first be evaluated by NIAT in order to properly credit it.

NIAT requires work experience to make sure of the quality of an Accounting Technicians on whether they full understand the essence of what an Accounting Technician is capable of. NIAT carefully analyzes and evaluates the graduates before giving the CAT title.

There are no limitations on the titles a student should or will possess in their pursuit of the one (1) year work experience because the variety of duties in the accounting and finance industry is very wide.
